Why Premium helps

Practice websites drift. A partner updates a PDF, a receptionist swaps a link, a redesign drops a page. The free scan is useful for a one-off look. Premium is for catching that drift without chasing it by hand.

Free unified website scan

One automated run covering 23 core content checks, published policies, reading age, and accessibility spot checks, with results usually in minutes. Useful before a website tidy-up, after a redesign, or when a new practice manager wants a baseline without opening every page by hand.

  • Missing patient-facing info. Appointments, prescriptions, sick notes, test results, registration, complaints how-to, accessibility, privacy, and similar items that patients expect to find online.
  • Stale policy signals. Stated review dates that look past, obsolete organisation names such as Public Health England or CCGs, references to the Data Protection Act 1998, and other high-confidence freshness cues.
  • Readability and accessibility. Reading-age estimates for key patient pages against the NHS 9 to 11 target, plus automated WCAG 2.2 spot checks. Automated checks catch only part of accessibility issues.
  • Broken links. Internal links sampled and confirmed with a follow-up request, so only genuine errors are reported.

Independent by design

We monitor. We do not build websites.

PublishSentry does not build or sell websites. We monitor what your practice publishes and show the evidence: each finding links to the page we checked, with a screenshot where our browser verification captured one. Because there is no rebuild to sell, there is no incentive to inflate findings.

The report is written to be forwarded. Send it to your website supplier as a factual work list, and use the next scheduled scan to see what changed.

Every 2 weeks on Premium

Automatic re-scans and saved reports

Premium re-runs the same unified scan automatically every 2 weeks, 26 scans a year, so partners and practice managers see drift after handovers, uploads, or tidy-ups, without asking IT every time. A one-off audit describes the site on the day it was written; a scheduled scan shows what is published now.

  • Wrong file uploaded. After asking someone to publish a policy, the next report can surface a mismatch with what is actually linked.
  • Upload forgotten. If the request never happened, you still see the gap on the public site.
  • Quiet deletions. If a page or policy drops off after a redesign, a later report makes that visible.

Regular reports can help a practice evidence that key information is published and kept under review. They do not guarantee CQC outcomes, grades, or legal compliance.
